Welcome to Germania Verein. The Germania Verein is a club for people who are interested in maintaining the German culture, customs, language, and music. Founded in 1856 and located in downtown San Jose, California, the club has a membership of over 300 people. The club offers a variety of activities for many different interests and hosts many different events throughout the year.

Wiener Café
The Germania Verein is hosting the annual Wiener Café so mark your calendar for August 1, 2010. The doors will open at 1:30 p.m. with music by the Bill Blythe Band for your dancing pleasure, plus more entertainment by Margaret Bubert. Ladies don’t forget to wear your favorite Sonntagnachmittagsspaziergang-Sommerhut.

Oktoberfest
The annual Oktoberfest is coming up soon! This will be an exciting event with dinner, music, and fun! Join us on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 1:00p.m. Dinner will be served at 2:00p.m. and dancing begins at 3:00p.m. A traditional meal of sausages, sauerkraut, potatoes, and dessert will be served.
