Welcome to Germania Verein. The Germania Verein is a club for people who are interested in maintaining the German culture, customs, language, and music. Founded in 1856 and located in downtown San Jose, California, the club has a membership of over 300 people. The club offers a variety of activities for many different interests and hosts many different events throughout the year.

Fasching Costume Ball
Please join us on Saturday, February 6, 2009 for our annual Fasching ball at the Germania Hall. Wear your favorite costume (optional) and enjoy the music, a light dinner, and lots of fun! Doors open at 4 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5 p.m. with coffee and cake. We will enjoy the music of Meister D.J. from Los Angeles. Admission is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Sänger Kommers
The Pacific Sängerbund presents its annual Sänger Kommers hosted by the Germania Gemischter Chor. This event takes place on Saturday, February 27 at 2 p.m in the Napredak Hall at 770 Montague Expwy in San Jose. Come and enjoy a musical afternoon with the choirs from northern California. Dinner and dancing will start after the concert. Tickets ($40) and information are available by contacting Edith Meyer at 408.379.6540, Sigrid Wegener at 408.248.6169, or by emailing us.
